Christmas Portraits

Little Nicholas looks like a St. Nicholas-in-training here. Our store manager and one of our key photographers, Sarah, had a blast capturing the spirit of this wee man as he got into the Christmas Spirit!

Tank!

Well, the studio is off to a flying start!!!! We've had such a wide range of interesting photo shoots, from pet pro traits, to fashion shoots to product shoots. There is no way we'll be able to keep up with production and blog about everything so we'll pop on and give you a bit of a highlight every now and then.
This is Tank, he goes to work everyday with his owners, the brothers from the barber shop two doors down from the studio. Michael and Dominic were shocked to here we'd photograph their dog for them and even more surprised when Tank acted like a perfect gentleman.

If you are interested in having your pet photogrpaher, give us a call and we'll be sure to find space for him, her or it!

If you missed it, don't worry, we'll have a little party just for you when you show up to say hi, browse for some "fine things", get a passport photo taken, have your Christmas Cards designed, shop for a wedding photographer, etc, etc, etc!

Support one of our own as she walks for others....

I remember the swell of pride I felt when I saw the photo of Jenn crossing the finish line at Toronto's Weekend to End Breast Cancer. This is a 60 km walk to raise funds to end this terrible disease. Jenn has since moved to Vancouver but comes back to Ontario on a regular basis to shoot Boulevard weddings (and visit her family). She is a favourite with engaged couples and their families because she has a true passion for making your day special. Her passion for giving continues across the county as she prepares to walk ANOTHER 60 km walk.

Read below and if you can, offer her your support.

Thank you,

Heather

From Jenn:

Hi Friend,

On September 5-7, 2008 I'll be participating in The Weekend to End Breast Cancer.I'll walk 60 kilometres over 2 days with thousands of other women and men. The net proceeds will support breast cancer research, treatment, and services through the BC Cancer Foundation.I've agreed to raise at least $2,000, but I'd love to exceed the $2600 I raised a couple of years ago. Use the link at the bottom of this email to visit my site - and please take the time to support me. Please keep in mind how far I'm walking - and how hard I'll have to train.According to the National Cancer Institute of Canada, approximately 20,500 Canadian women will be diagnosed with breast cancer this year, and about 5,400 will die from the disease. That's why I'm walking so far. I hope that you'll share this incredible adventure with me - by supporting me in my fundraising efforts.Thank you in advance for your generosity!Sincerely,Jennifer Kirk

Sneak Preview: Sugar Beads!!!

In the next few weeks we will be featuring some of the "Fine Things" we will be carrying in store and on-line. We have hand selected so many beautiful things I don't know how we are going to choose what to showcase...check back often as we show you some of the delectable baby things, luxurious spa items, decadent jewelry, and innovative wedding favours.

Here is the start of our custom jewelry line designed by Gay Isber of Sugar Beads. These hand made pieces, with their antique beads and recovered pearls are a fresh alternative to the crystal tiaras seen at many weddings today. These pieces will make you stand out on your wedding day and are sure to become treasured heirlooms.

We will also be carrying a complete line of casual "Sugar" for you to wear everyday!
